England underpinned its current position of dominance in European football: Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC move into the semi-finals of the Europa League. Two London Teams in scarce results.

Two London Clubs are allowed to continue to dream of a “consolation prize” Europa League title. The Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC have both the claim of the Champions League. However, in particular if it is not running in the Premier League (Arsenal and Chelsea are the Fourth and Fifth, 19 points behind leaders Liverpool), it is also a not-so-highly-regarded European title. Until then, it is still a good piece of work, but the next step is done: The Gunners were victorious in the quarter-final return game at SSC Napoli with 1:0 (1:0). The first leg had won the London 2:0. Chelsea had more shaking: Without the knee-injured German international defender Antonio Rüdiger, the “Blue” just with 4:3 (4:1) won against Slavia Prague, after the 1:0 from the first leg, that’s enough, come on.

Valencia scores

Arsenal was eliminated in the last season in the round of the last Four against the eventual winners Atletico Madrid, initially had trouble with the former Bayern Coach Carlo Ancelotti trained Italians. However, with the leadership values by Alexandre Lacazette (36.), the curled a free-kick from around 25 meters into the goal, was preparing the way. At Stamford Bridge, swept over Chelsea, the Czechs at first, after 17 minutes through Pedro (5.), an own goal from Prague Simon Deli (10.) and world champion Olivier Giroud (17.) already 3:0. Tomas Soucek (26.) let the guests hope, but only a Minute later, and Pedro (27.) again. Petr Sevciks Double Pack (51./55.) was brave in Prague, then too little.

In the semifinals, Arsenal FC, FC Valencia, won the Spanish duel with FC Villarreal in accordance with the 3:1 in the first leg on Thursday evening with 2:0 (1:0). Chelsea gets it on with a DFB-Cup winners Eintracht Frankfurt to do. Also in the Champions League England provides finalists with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, two and a half.
