After the big breakthrough, the stream experienced the Leipzig festival of 2018, was the most frequently asked question: Can this continue? In his first year as artistic Director, Bach had advanced researcher Michael Maul of the program by one third – from approximately 100 to approximately 150 events. The audience moved. In the following season in 2019, from 14. up to the 23. June, however, it is no longer the Cantor of St. Thomas Church but to the “Hof-Compositeur Bach”. The focus is works that he wrote largely in front of his Leipzig time he was employed on various farms. These include the Brandenburg concertos, the violin concertos and solo works for various instruments – some of the most popular works from Bach’s pen.
