PSG’s complaining successfully against UEFA

The International sport court of justice declared the investigation against the French football Champions Paris Saint-Germain on the grounds of possible breaches of Financial Fair Play for not doing it properly – due to a formal error.

The French football Champions Paris St. Germain must for the time being, there is no fear of penalties on the grounds of possible breaches of Financial Fair Play. The International court of arbitration for sport (CAS) in Lausanne upheld an appeal by the Association and ordered because of a procedural error, the ongoing investigation by the European football Union (UEFA).

Last year, UEFA had decided initially not to impose any penalty against the club’s German Coach Thomas Tuchel. Later, the Association announced, to check the situation again. This was only within ten days, the CAS. This period, however, had been passed. Therefore, the original decision to terminate the proceedings was a “final and binding”.

PSG: “Have kept to the rules”

PSG welcomed the decision of the Supreme sport Tribunal. The Association had complied with “the rules” and would now “continue its development with Confidence”.

Paris St. Germain after the Mega-Transfers of the Superstars Neymar (222 million Euro transfer fee) and Kylian Mbappe (160 million euros) in the crosshairs of UEFA investigator. One accusation was that sponsorship contracts had unrealistically been highly doped, in order to legitimize the transfer expenditure.

The Financial Fair Play dictates that a club cannot spend more than he takes in. This also applies if the club is supported by a rich private person or shareholder, as the Paris of the case. The majority shareholder of the club, the Qatari investors group Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), which has pumped in the past years, Millions in the club.
