Nissan calls for millions of Ex-chief Ghosn

To this end, both companies paid approximately EUR 15.6 million to the daughter. Ghosn had received the money “illegally between April and November last year to 7.82 million euros,” said Mitsubishi. Ghosn had concluded with the subsidiary company, Nissan, Mitsubishi B. V. (NMBV) a contract of employment without notice to his former Deputy, Hiroto Saikawa, Nissan or Mitsubishi boss Osamu Masuko, announced Nissan. Ghosn and Nissan working Manager had issued appropriate instructions.

Ghosn remains in custody

The Japanese car maker Nissan wants to get the approximately eight million euros from his former CEO. Nissan consider this payment as a “result of misconduct” and will demand the full amount of Ghosn.

Charges for the new allegations are not yet available. Meanwhile, Ghosns attorney has re-filed with the court a request for release on bail. The court had denied Ghosn previously a release from prison, an appeal against the district court denied. Up to a process might be months. An appointment there is not. That Ghosn comes previously out on bail, is considered to be unlikely.

At Renault, Ghosn, however, is still officially the boss of the group. But now Renault is preparing for a change in leadership. The “best solution for the future leadership of the group will be searched,” said the President of the Renault Board of Directors chief Philippe Lagayette.
