The people in Jakarta have always lived with the water, with Floods and flooding. But soon, life in Indonesia’s mega-metropolis, it could be impossible, because the coastal town threatens to sink in the sea.
Climate change is causing the sea level to rise, at the same time, residents who often have no access to public supply of drinking water to remove a lot of groundwater. The result is that the ground gives way. Up to 25 inches in the year from the bags, the capital of Indonesia. The livelihoods of 32 million people threatened. Now the city planners have woken up and are trying to prevent the worst. But the sinking are still staying?
