Spain intends to apply, jointly with Portugal and Morocco to host the football world Cup in 2030. The Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez confirmed in Morocco.
“Initially, I made the Moroccan government and king Mohammed VI. the proposal that a joint candidacy on the legs,” said Spain’s head of government Pedro Sanchez in the Moroccan city of Rabat. “This will be the first Time that there is a common application of two continents, Europe and Africa. King Mohammed has welcomed the proposal,” said the Prime Minister had previously met with his Moroccan counterpart Saad-Eddine El Othmani: “We will now work together with Portugal on a presentation.”
Giants-the world Cup due to the co.-job applications
Spain had concluded a sole orientation to the world Cup in recital. To date only world championship in Spain was held in 1982. Morocco has so far failed five times (1994, 1998, 2006, 2010 and 2026) with WM applications. The next world Cup finals are in Qatar for the 2022 and 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico on the program. For the world Cup in 2030, least of all Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia, had announced a joint application. Previously, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay had expressed interest. In the room there is also a common application of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. In view of the inflation of the world Cup to 48 teams in a country is hardly alone in the situation, to organize a world Cup.
