By 2022, not a Biathlon race in Russia

The country can’t keep up with the guidelines of the world Anti-Doping Agency, thus the justification of the International Biathlon Union. The IBU is itself under observation because of a doping cover-up and corruption.

After the Doping scandal of alleged Russian state doping no Biathlon competitions will take place until at least 2022 in Russia. The world Association IBU announced the publication of the competition calendar for the seasons, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022. Also in the end of November, the beginning of the new season, there are no Russian venues. The IBU awards competitions only to countries that comply with the Code of the world Anti-Doping Agency WADA. This is not the Russians to be the case.

After the Doping scandal in the Russian Federation RBU had lost in December 2017 Status as full IBU member and since then only as a provisional member without the right to vote, choice and the right of proposal. Finally, the Russians at the IBU Congress had failed to pass in September, with your desire for a full return.
