What do we think of when we think of Norway? On fjords, a trip along the Hurtigruten, to the lonely huts – but certainly not to a venereal disease – for example, chlamydia. Worldwide, it is the most common sexually transmitted disease. It is caused by bacteria. Affecting primarily the mucous membranes of the sex organs, i.e. Vagina, Penis, Anus, urethra. Almost everyone has been infected with chlamydia. But why there, of all places, in Norway, so many infections? Carsten Schmiester has addressed this issue.

In Germany each year are infected between 250,000 and 300,000 people with chlamydia. Many do not realize it, but such infection is not just hazardous. Professor Norbert Brock Meyer directs the center for sexual health and medicine in Bochum, Germany. He tried to back sexual diseases and the dangers that go with it, in the Public. He wants to take action against the taboo that is joined to all of the venereal diseases.
Migraine pain and no therapy
Headaches has anyone ever had – quite different in quality but migraines are seizures. About one in Ten in Germany is affected. Migraine patients suffer terribly under the splitting headache associated with Nausea. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, often the forehead, add wrinkles from colleagues or even from friends and comments such as: “don’t be like that – I have a headache, I, too, sometimes. Take a pill and then it will pass quickly.” Does the job but just. A drug that helps, would be a relief for migraine patients. Yvonne Meier has taken on the issue.
