“Pasch-Global”: the exchange of knowledge by Interview-Dating

Student newspaper editors meet bloggers, German young people to swap ideas with peers from Central and Eastern Europe. For the past ten years, the media supported project “Pasch-Global” inter-cultural exchange.

The idea was to train young people, bloggers and reporters, in order to win you as a promoter of democracy and political participation. In 2008, the media project was called “Pasch-Global” by the foreign office of the Federal government. The German language is a global learning community should be created.

Ten years of Journalistic exchange

This year the Initiative celebrates now its tenth anniversary. A special exchange programme has been launched: 24 young people, the bloggers and the bloggers are coming from a total of seven countries in Central and Eastern Europe for a week to Berlin, in order to complete the training in terms of journalism.

Blogs as a democratic Forum

For the German students an opportunity to be with peers refugees of intensive exchange. The Blogger from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary get insights into the integration policy of the German government, which has set with its welcoming culture on a Europe-wide standards.

The intercultural Blog “CLICK” is a part of the overall project “Pasch-Global”, the Online student newspaper on the net. More than 15 students newspaper-projects from Central and Eastern Europe will be presented in the German language.

The Foreign office would like to strengthen – across national borders – the democratic civil society in these partner countries. The goal: Young people learn through these Interviews to develop an understanding of the different political systems and everyday life in other countries.
