The Wimbledon disappointment is forgotten, at the ATP tournament in Washington, D. C. Zverev at the start of the US-hardcourt season in scintillating Form.

Alexander Zverev smiled briefly, then he enjoyed the thunderous applause of the audience: With his next Triumph at the ATP tournament in Washington, D.C., Germany’s best tennis player has three weeks before the US Open in New York, his current top form. In the final of the Hamburg left the 19-year-old Australian Alex De Minaur in 6:2, 6:4, no Chance. After a superior idea turned Zverev after 1:14 hours on his second match ball. For the 21-Year-old, it was after the success in Madrid and Munich is the third tournament victory this year.

In the second round of the brother thrown out

Against the world ranking of 72. de Minaur started Zverev with a Break and won the first set quickly a 4:0 lead. Even then, Germany’s number one was superior and took a half-hour set. In the second match against the Australians, it was Zverev the second victory.

The Hamburger had been set at the tournament in the U.S. capital to number one. On the way to a successful title defence in the case of the 2.1 million Dollar hard court tournament, Zverev had defeated in the second round his brother Mischa in two sets. In the semi-finals Zverev against the Greeks Stefanos had Tsitsipas, prior to that, he won against the Japanese Kei Nishikori.

Breakthrough in New York?

Include Zverevs development, the setbacks and disappointments, which he collected, especially on the Grand Slam stage, however. At the Australian Open Terminus was at the beginning of the year already in the third round at the French Open, it was enough at least for the quarter-finals, before Zverev in Wimbledon by a Virus weakened again in round three. He himself expected a lot more, and yet were the defeats of valuable experience for Zverev.

On the hard courts of Flushing Meadows Zverev takes the next start-up, to follow his destiny – and finally, one of the world’s four biggest tennis Superstars Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic tournaments in the Phalanx to break in.
