Italy wants to reject Ceta
In the middle of the trade dispute between the EU and the USA, Italy, threatening with his rejection of the European-canadian free trade agreement Ceta Seriously. Vice-Minister-President of Luigi Di Maio said on Friday, Italy will not ratify Ceta. The head of the populist 5-star movement showed up in front of a gathering of the Italian agricultural Association decided: Each of the government representatives that defend still agreements such as Ceta, will be removed from his office, he announced.
This should actually happen, could fail to vacate the Agreement to the removal of almost all tariffs between the two economies. The agreement is valid since September 2017 provisional. To enter fully in force, it is cheap, but all 28 EU member States.
The rejection of Ceta came to be in Rome now higher than before: Before Di Maio agricultural Minister Gian Marco Centinaio had rejected ratification. He pointed to a risk for traditional Italian products such as Parma ham or Parmesan cheese.

Hesitate in Vienna

The ECJ from Belgium initiated proceedings is currently pending, the Ceta contained in the arbitration courts. The ECJ should decide that the rules agreed with EU law, would have to be negotiated the agreement.
