Breitbart apologizes for Podolski – a new error

Doubly embarrassing: First, the ultra-right Internet Portal breitbart.com illustrated an article about the smuggling gangs with a photo of Lukas Podolski. Then it apologised to the footballer and was once again next to it.

The arch-conservative Internet portal Breitbart.com has apologized for a photo of the German footballer Lukas Podolski as a Symbol of a refugee from North Africa. “The photo should serve as a symbol image of a Person on a jet ski,” explained the British offshoot of the page. For this, they wanted to apologize to the 32-year-old Kicker. “There is no evidence that Mr. Podolsky is a member of a trafficking gang or a victim of human trafficking”, you can now read in an “editors ‘ note” on the Breitbart page.

The Internet Portal was founded in 2007 by Andrew Breitbart in the United States. Spicy in this case is, that the former chief strategist of the US President, Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, announced after the loss of his post at the White house on Thursday to return to Breitbart. The Portal is rushing on a regular basis against the Islam, but also against refugees and dissenters.
