Nvidia launches next week in the US, streaming-gamingdienst Grid. The service, which a month later are available in Europe, is for Shield owners until June 30, free to test. Further, Nvidia Android Lollipop to its Shield tablet.
The streaming gamingdienst of Nvidia was in the summer of 2012 for the first time revealed. Since mid-2013, Nvidia trials held with Grid, but the electronics manufacturer considers his service now sufficiently matured for a broad market introduction. In the united states, users from november 18, Grid on their Shield-device to use. A number of unspecified countries in Western Europe in december following, and Nvidia wants to Grid the next year in Asia.
Grid may to 30 June free of charge for owners of a Shield Tablet or Shield Portable. Gamers can be about twenty pc games from the cloud infrastructure to stream, including Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2 and Psychonauts. After 30 June will be the service a betaalmodel, but details about it has Nvidia not released yet. The service requires a clientapp and an internet connection with a minimum download speed of 10Mbit/s and a maximum ping of 60ms. Also 5GHz wifi is recommended.
Nvidia has also for its Shield Tablet an update promised to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Also is the Nvidia Dabbler tekenapp of more functionality features. There will also be a new Shield Tablet with 32GB of storage, 4g connectivity and a gamebundel that consists of Half-Life 2, Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode One. Furthermore, there are four new Android games optimized for the Shield platform: Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, Strike Suit Zero, Turbo Dismount, and Pure Pool.
