There are more details about an upcoming GoPro Hero4 Black appeared. The camera will get a touchscreen on the back and the battery opening is to the bottom shifted. Furthermore, there are new indications that the camera in 4k with 30fps can be shot.
The recent information about the GoPro Hero4 leaked is collected in a Reddit thread. The information is, among others, from productsites and folders, firmware and photos. There seem to be two variants of the Hero4: the Black with new functionality and the Silver that is identical to the hero3+ Black.
The housing of the Hero4 Black appears in size identical to that of the GoPro Hero 3+, what is the compatibility of accessories must be maintained. There are differences besides the lcd on the front: there are now wi-fi – and recording-indication-leds processed. Furthermore, the opening for changing the battery now at the bottom instead of the back. That rear is taken up by a touchscreen. To the side there is a settings button, where previously the wi-fi button was. Also the battery life would have improved, but the extent thereof is unknown.
Furthermore, it is almost confirmed that the Hero4 Black 4k images at 30fps contains: that is to see on several photos of the device, on the lcd. According to a leaflet is the frame rate is further doubled, which would mean it can shoot 2.7 k video, with a resolution of 2716×1440 so, at 60fps instead of 30fps. Additionally, the Hero4 Black 12-megapixelfoto’s can take. In regards to bluetooth and gps support, it is unclear whether the body is in this possession or that a bacpac to the camera. Also, there is evidence for support for image stabilization.
On October 15, it seems like the camera to be available. An introduction is probably for that date.
