Samsung: research shows abuses at Chinese suppliers

Samsung has let know that from an independent investigation into working conditions at its Chinese suppliers is proved that there are various abuses. So there would often be overgewerkt than is legally allowed and there are dangerous situations encountered.

Samsung has research to do with a hundred suppliers from China, approximately half of the total number of companies from that country that works for Samsung, reports news agency AP. From the study found that 59 Chinese suppliers, his employees are not beschermbrillen, masks or other protective attributes out, although that is still required. Young workers between the ages of 16 and 18 had at 48 companies with hazardous chemicals on the job, while also that’s not allowed.

Another major issue is that in virtually all companies more overtime is worked than is permitted by law. This problem is common with Chinese companies. Samsung is more attention to the working conditions at its suppliers when China Labor Watch, the company HEG Electronics, a company that Samsung among other phone and dvd players produces, accused of child labour. A own research of Samsung would have shown that there is no evidence were found for child labour, but that there are however, various other abuses were noted. Also the Chinese government did an investigation into the allegations and came to a similar conclusion as Samsung.
