Crytek denies it is on the edge of bankruptcy to stand

Gamedeveloper Crytek denies large financial lwa le to have problems. Rumors about this appeared on Monday in an article of the German magazine Gamestar. In an interview with Eurogamer denies a spokesperson from the studio all the messages.

The rumors could be traced to the attempts of the Wargaming.net, the studio behind, among other, World of Tanks, to Crytek to take over. Anvi Yerli, co-founder of Crytek, said that compared to Gamestar that a potential take-over by Wargaming a rescue for the studio; it would be Crytek give access to an important new source of money.

The rumors that Crytek is in heavy weather would find themselves were strengthened by a number of employees in the two months before E3 in July, their salary is not on time or even not at all received. Also would be an unknown number of officers have applied for jobs at other studios and would be the 800 employees that the studio is currently in service has much to be profitable to be able to run.

Furthermore, the disappointing sales of Ryse: Son of Rome and Crysis 3, the studio is not much good have done. Crytek denies all the rumors from Eurogamer and the company says to continue with the development of upcoming titles like Homefront: The Revolution and Arena of Fate. Also underlines Crytek’s support to continue to provide for its CryEngine.
