BlackBerry shows successor Bold and BB10 smartphone with a square screen

BlackBerry has, at a meeting held for shareholders two new devices shown. The Passport is a device with a square of 4.5″screen, while the Classic is a direct successor to the looks of the Bold-line that the Canadian manufacturer as much as success brought.

BlackBerry showed devices in a slide, reports fan site CrackBerry. Therein made, the manufacturer announced that in fiscal year 2015, which runs until march next year, the Passport and Classic are going to appear. The Canadian smartphonemaker reported no details or specifications.

The Classic is a device that the Bold-line follow-up and has to the eye the same keys and also under the screen is the classic BlackBerry buttons. The screen shot shows BlackBerry 10, while the Bold line on most BlackBerry OS 7.1 running.

The Passport is the device that if Q30 or Windemere known. It has a physical keyboard three lines under the screen. The screen is square and would have a resolution of 1440×1440 pixels at a diagonal of 4.5″. Director John Chen released the Passport also seen after the aandeelhoudersbijeenkomst.

BlackBerry was already known that the Passport would be present at an event in september; it seems as though the company no longer try to use the smartphone to keep it a secret. BlackBerry sold last quarter to 2.6 million smartphones and saw loss decrease.
