AT&T buys DirecTV for 35 billion euros

The American telecommunications company AT&T has announced that it is for 48,5 billion dollars, the equivalent of some 35 billion euros, satellite provider DirecTV is going to take over. The telecomreus plays in the acquisition of Time Warner Cable by Comcast.

DirecTV is the largest satellite provider in the United States, with approximately 20 million subscribers. As also the debts of DirecTV are included, AT&T as a new owner in a total of 67 billion dollars, or 49 billion euros, will be lost.
