Nintendo stops with its Wi-Fi Connection service on may 20. The decision means that owners of a Nintendo DS or Wii as of that date no longer have access to online multiplayer. Games for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS are not affected by the stop of the service.
The step has no impact on other services such as the browser, YouTube, the Shop and Pay & Play. Owners of the Wii U and the 3DS just to get to, respectively, the run in Wii Mode of Wii software and play DS games on the 3DS.
Nintendo stopped in October 2013 with the production of the Wii, and also have already been a few built-in apps removed. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which is never a very important service for the consoles, but still, there were many games that supported it.
