T-Mobile must YouTube and Netflix to block wi-fi network in the train

T-Mobile may on free wi-fi-networks in trains services like YouTube and Netflix to block. That concludes supervisor Authority Consumer and Market. The services would without blockage due to too much congestion on the network cause.

One of the conditions that ACM sets at the banning of the services, is that T-Mobile does not distinguish between services: same services should receive equal treatment, the supervisor. So should T-Mobile not, for example, YouTube does allow but Netflix prohibit or vice versa.

In addition, should T-Mobile users of the free wi-fi-network in the train are well informed about what is allowed or not. According to ACM should the provider services block because of an exception in the legislation about net neutrality. As services may cause that the network becomes overloaded and the provision of services to other clients suffer, then it is a blockage allowed. The exception is for wi-fi in the train, because, according to the regulator, the capacity is limited and also changes greatly: the train-wi-fi set the mobile signal from T-Mobile network to a wi-fi signal, allowing treinrezigers in fact, all a mobile connection sharing.

The free wi-fi in some trains has been in existence since 2010. Travelers can login via a special page, make use of the internet connection during the travel. The vast majority of intercity’s now has wi-fi and the service continues at least until april of next year for free.
