Samsung has made its first ddr4 memory for smartphones presented. The 1GB chip must be compared to current ddr3 memory both faster and more fuel-efficient. Samsung is the ram likely to use in the Galaxy S5.

Samsung claims that the mobile memory to 50 percent faster, and on 1.1 V approximately 40 percent less energy. The low power ddr4 memory has a capacity of 1GB, which consists of a 8Gb chip in a single. With four of these chips in a package creates a 4GB lpddr4 module.

hey 8Gb LPDDR4 is fabricated on 20-nanometer (nm) class* process technology, and sacrifices 1 gigabyte (GB) on a single, which is the largest density available for DRAM components today. With four of the 8Gb chips, a single 4GB LPDDR4 package can provide the highest level of performance available today. – See more at: http://global.samsungtomorrow.com/?p=31752#sthash.IfpwmSup.dpuf

Of ddr3 memory, Samsung has now variants with 6Gb and 4Gb in mass production. In smartphones are often multiple of these modules, combined for the memory: probably the Galaxy Note 3 four 6Gb-modules to the ram of 3GB.

Samsung start mass production of its ddr4 memory for smartphones and tablets in 2014. The manufacturer says not on any process of the ddr4 memory is made, but it is somewhere between 20 and 30nm: Samsung mentions that the 20nm-class.

You’ll probably want to Samsung, the ddr4 memory with a capacity of 4GB for use in the successor to the Galaxy S4. It happened last year also the manufacturer components used in the Galaxy S4 have been used previously to announce. That happened last year with the screen and the soc. Samsung processortak will be next week at the consumer electronics show CES is probably a new Exynos-soc present.
