Apple and Samsung would re-negotiate a licentiedeal for their patents. Previous negotiations were hampered by the price Samsung per unit would have to pay. The two companies have been fighting for years over patents.

The boss of Samsung’s mobile division, JK Shin, in a few weeks to the United States to fly the negotiation to continue with Apple’s top people, claims the Korea Times. The negotiations would focus on what Samsung to Apple to pay per device. Apple asks converted 21,85 euro, Samsung do not want that on the table. If Samsung that amount per phone would go to pay, receive Apple, depending on the sell between 1.5 and 2 billion euros per quarter of the South-Korean manufacturer, in the future, and more.

The patentstrijd between Apple and Samsung lasts for several years and has taken place in dozens of countries, including the Netherlands. Both companies have victories. The company from Cupertino accuses Samsung of it design elements of hardware and software copied to. The South Koreans beat back mainly with patents in the field of wireless technology. Both companies also have an intensive relationship: Samsung is producing for Apple, including many screens and all of the socs for iPhones and iPads.
