Grouping performs ddos attacks on EA.com, Battle.net and League of Legends

A group is short a large number of gameplatforms offline, including EA.com, Quake Live, Dota 2, Club Penguin, Battle.net and League of Legends. The group focused on a single gamer and conducted ddos attacks on the games that he played.

The attacks appear to have started in League of Legends. The American and European servers, and later the servers in Oceania were faced with downtime after ddos attacks. The target of the later attacks was gamer Phantoml0rd that the games that he plays, including World of Warcraft and League of Legends, streams through his popular Twitch page.

The group DERP succeeded not only in to the gameplatformen where Phantoml0rd of using the short offline, but also it was a police unit to his home sent after a message about a hostage situation. In the USA, this is known as swatting. Phantoml0rd was to say short in the cuffs slapped.

All of the attacked platforms are now back online. It is unclear what exactly the reason for the attacks was. In an irc conversation, say the members of DERP, the ‘for fun’ and as a test to have done.
