Computerworld-publisher deletes 22 jobs

IDG, publisher of, among others ict-news website Webwereld, scraps in a reorganization in a total of 22 jobs. That is a quarter of its staff. According to IDG, that is necessary because of the economic hard times and falling revenue. At Computerworld disappears completed. n editor.

The reorganization at IDG Monday morning is announced by the director of the Dutch branch, Robert van Loon. According to the director, the publisher has been affected by the economic crisis.

“In addition, the income from our journals under pressure”, says Van Loon. “The turnover of our onlinetak rises, but not hard enough to compensate for that.” Therefore, there must be on the costs, says Van Loon, so to be able to invest in the online activities of the publisher.

After the reorganization, in which 22 positions disappear, the publisher still 58 people. At Webwereld is one of the six editors was shown the door.
