KPN has Teletolk a service designed for the deaf and hard of hearing to still use the phone to communicate. It is possible to record voice in text to convert, or calls to ‘mediate’; in the latter case an interpreter is used.

According to KPN, Teletolk from October, 1 offered, and it must be in the current, analog version is replaced. Users who Teletolk want to make the speech of their interlocutor to be converted in text. It is also possible to make use of an interpreter, spoken text sales in sign language. In this manner, the deaf and hard of hearing, via a smartphone, tablet, or computer, yet a phone call.

KPN states that the conversion of speech to text during a phone call is always available.
