Half a million pc’s out of ZeroAccess-botnet liberated

Security company Symantec has a half a million pcs from the botnet ZeroAccess. That was done through a vulnerability in the p2p system, which allows the botnet to each other is knotted.

The action to the pcs from the botnet to get found this summer, according to a blog post from Symantec. That had to be done quickly, because the bots under each other an update and spread the vulnerability approach. Symantec devotes not on any vulnerability that has been, and how it worked.

The ZeroAccess botnet consisted of about 1.9 million computers and before the update was rolled out was Symantec so a half a million pcs from the botnet. What for pcs are and where they were is unclear. The criminals behind the botnet will use it for bitcoin mining and click fraud, so says Symantec.
