Developers of mobile technology contribute a lot to Linux-kernel

From the latest edition of the Linux Kernel Development Report shows that companies that focus on mobile technology, an increasingly larger share gain in the development of the Linux kernel. Also Google increased on the list of developers while Microsoft and Nokia considerably decreased.

The joint share of companies like Samsung, Linaro, and ARM came out at 15 percent of the changes in the kernel. Linaro, a non-profit organization that open-source software for the arm architecture to develop, was when the previous count is still responsible for 0.7 percent of the adjustments. Since that last count, the organization responsible for 3791 changes, or 4.1 percent of the total. Google came up with 2255 changes to 2.4 percent compared to 1.5 percent in the previous time.

The changes Google are hardly related to Android. According to Greg Koah-Hartman, manager of the stable branch, the changes from Google spread over the entire kernel to find and of good quality.
