Apple has Tuesday its iMac all-in-ones an update. The systems now come with Intel Haswell processors, 802.11 ac wi-fi and gpu’s from Nvidia’s GeForce 700M-series, including optionally the high-end 780M. Also, there is support for flash memory through the pci-e interface.
The appearance of the new iMac line is identical to that of the last year released series, which Led in december 2012 host, but what hardware is concerned, Apple has the necessary adjustments are made. For example, the entry level of the new the 21.5″-iMac about a Core i5 quad-core of the Haswell generation. The clock speed of this chip, the Core i5-4570R, amounted to 2.7 GHz. These iMacs get the GeForce GT 755M with 1GB gddr5 or the GTX 775M with 2GB of gddr5 on board. In its most extended configuration builds Apple’s a Core i7 with a clock speed of 3.5 GHz and the powerful Nvidia GeForce 780M.
Both the 21.5″-iMacs, as the 27″-iMac to get a standard 1TB drives, but the former rotate that at 5400rpm, while the larger iMac’s 7200rpm drives. What is new is that the flashdeel of Apples Fusion Drive, and the optional built-in ssd using the pci-e interface, which according to the manufacturer, a speed of up to 50 percent would produce. The maximum storage capacity of the Fusion Drive is 3TB, while the maximum storage of ssd 1TB. Finally get the systems wireless network cards that the current 802.11 ac wi-fi standard support, like Apple in its recent MacBook Airs used.
The starting price of the entry level 21,5″-iMac 1329 euros; the more expensive version costs standard 1529 euro. The offset of the 27″-iMac is 1849 euro, while the more standard version is a from-price of 2029 euro.
