HUB Uitgevers, the company behind the Power Unlimited, PCM, Computer Idee and PC-Active, is officially bankrupt. The court has the bankruptcy petition is accepted. What to do with the company, is not yet known.

The bankruptcy of HUB Uitgevers is earlier, on Tuesday pronounced, as confirmed by a spokesman of the Haarlem court opposite Tweakers. Monday reported Tweakers that the Haarlem publisher, mainly of magazines about ict and games spent, bankruptcy had applied for. That bankruptcy petition is now approved. The court has a receiver allocated, that will examine how the activities of the bankrupt publisher may be continued.

Meanwhile, report various magazines of the bankruptcy to their readers that they still will appear. “We keep just the Power Unlimited make as a magazine and if the us is going to collapse in september, just a number on your doormat. And also in October, november, december, etc.”, writes the editors of the gamesblad Power Unlimited. The editors of PC-Active, PCM and Computer Idea do their readers similar promises.

Or the sheets on the longer term will actually continue to appear, is by no means certain: for that will a company need to be found that a part or all of the activities of the bankrupt publisher to want to take over and in the sheets want to invest. Hardware.info which, together with HUB the Hardware.info Magazine made, reports nothing to say about the existence of that leaf. Hardware.info itself is not covered under the HUB and will remain available. HUB was also behind the application of the top-level-domain”.amsterdam’; the consequences for the domain are not yet known.

Last year, it announced that HUB already had a reorganisation whereby, especially in Computer Idea and PCM was considerably cut. The editors of both magazines were heavily thinned out; for PCM disappeared, even the entire editorial staff. In total disappeared when 35 of the 161 jobs. It is striking that the HUB recently to new personnel sought for the websites of the blades would have to write.
