KPN gets more money for the sale of German branch E-Plus

KPN’s future owner Am lwa rica M lwa vil consent to the sale of German branch E-Plus to Telefonica. Or is the deal at the insistence of the Mexican provider renegotiated: KPN will now receive more for the sale.

In total, the deal now 8,55 billion worth instead of the 8.1 billion euros of the first deal. The new negotiation was necessary, because América Móvil, owner of KPN, did not agree with the sale of E-Plus. With the new terms, the future owner, however, in agreement, writes KPN itself.

Because KPN is the Mexican provider explicitly mentions as part of the new negotiations, it is obvious that these were indeed started at the request of América Móvil. It is the first time that the future owner is so openly interfere with decisions of KPN.

KPN announced a month ago the sale of E-Plus. E-Plus is the name of the German branch of KPN. The provider will on 2 October a meeting of shareholders for the sale of E-Plus to adopt: with the support of América Móvil seems that now a formality.
