UPC sets the major update to its Horizon mediabox. The update, which according to the kabelaar many of the problems with the system must solve, in each case not more this month. When the update comes, will UPC not say.
The kabelaar “has no intention to even months to last”, says spokeswoman Maaike Scholten against Tweakers. “The update is in any case not in June, but I dare not to speak that the than July.” UPC made the news in a post on the Chelloo-forum.
The so-called H2-update is important for UPC, because of the many problems that customers have with the speed, stability and interface of Horizon would have to solve. Meanwhile, the kabelaar decided to Horizon in less subscriptions by default. The All-In-1-Standard package, that the kabelaar on the site as ‘recommended’ uitlicht, contains not longer Horizon TV but an older media box. Only customers with the most expensive package, All-In-1-Power, get a Horizon. According to Scholten does that have to do with a marketing campaign that is not focused is on the Horizon. There are now more than 155,000 with a Horizon box at home, it appeared during the presentation of the quarterly figures.
