Microsoft is going to be kaartendienst in Bing of 3d images. This option is available in the Bing Maps app for Windows 8.1. It is unclear when the 3d images will find their way to other operating systems.
That has Microsoft ceo Gurdeep Singh Pall let you know during the Build conference, where the functionality of Windows 8.1 was described. Also there were already a few examples of the 3d images in Bing Maps to be stopped. The corresponding app will appear not immediately: Microsoft is talking about a release in the autumn. Competitive kaartendiensten of, among others, Google and Apple have all the 3d images built-in. Moreover, when these services still not all map data in 3d formats: currently this is limited to a few large cities. It is unclear the extent to which Microsoft’s Bing service of 3d material will be provided, but it is likely that the rollout of the new graphics phased in will expire.
