Valve release Counter-Strike: GO-community self-check with Overwatch. This is a system in which some players, the ‘investigators’ have the authority given to players who are cheating or disruptive manner review.

The “investigators” or investigators are selected on the basis of their activity in the game, the amount of victories, the age of someone’s account, the amount of hours that they have played and their skills. Also, it is then considered how well they are doing as an investigator, by their reviews using the average to compare. The higher the score of an investigator, the heavier weighs, his voice.

The investigators get a button in the main menu, which indicates whether there is a case concerning a complaint on them to wait. Then they can choose to be a replay to watch eight rounds, for about ten minutes, and then a judgment on the complaint. They can then choose from three reviews: ‘seriously disturbing’ if there is a clear case of cheating, ‘slightly disturbing’ to bad behaviour and ‘insufficient evidence’.

If the investigators jointly find that there is a violation then there will be a ban handed out. The duration of the ban depends on the severity of the violation and possible previous violations.

Overwatch is still in beta and the number of cases is still limited, moreover, the results are now analyzed by Valve before bans are given. The system in the coming time, yet modified for better reliability and care, but in the future, the system will be fully by the community are acquired.
