Intel demonstrates ultrabook with Gnome 3 based Tizen

Intel has a ultrabook with Core i7 shown that Tizen turned. It went to a shell that is based on the Gnome 3 environment, and the laptop was turned, among other Tizen Web Apps. The software would form the basis of Tizen 3 later this year.

Intel demonstrated the ultrabook at the Tizen Conference 2013 in San Francisco, and saw the Tizen Experts. The Tizen Shell would be an early version of a translations of what later this year in Tizen 3.0 should be integrated. The shell based on Gnome 3, writes Tizen Experts. Tizen is a project of the Linux Foundation and especially Intel and Samsung are the driving forces behind the software. Recently, Tizen 2.1 is released, and the focused until now mainly on the use on mobile phones. In August, for example, comes Samsung with a Tizen device. The use of web-based apps have for compatibility between smartphones and computers that have the OS running worry.

The Tizen-ultrabook turned among other things on the Tizen html2-runtime-based Tizen Web Apps, and also some widgets. Which last were, however, on the Gnome 3 Extension api based javascript extensions for Gnome 3, and they were not on the basis of the Tizen web api written. In addition, were, among others, LibreOffice and the Steam client on the ultrabook.

At the conference in San Francisco was also the alpha release of Qt for Tizen is announced. The framework is based on Qt 5.1 beta, and allows Qt developers to quickly create simple applications for Tizen to develop.
