Details about two Haswell-ultraportables from Dell appear online

There are details about a new a 12.5″ and a 14″laptop in the business Latitude series Dell appeared. The laptops get processors of Intel’s upcoming Haswell-line and screen resolutions of up to 1920×1080 pixels. The presence of a touchscreen is optional.

The models go under the Latitude E7xxx series fall. The Latitude E7240 is a thin&light that is 1.3 kilos and a 12.5″screen. The resolution is 1366×768 pixels, but there are also models with touch screens that are 1920×1080 pixels display. The E7240 is with Core i3’s, i5’s and i7’s are supplied and in all cases are ultra low voltage chips. Further, the laptop has 4GB and a ssd of 128GB or 256GB. The battery is removable, and Dell vooorziet in three – or viercellige batteries.

The other model that early comes out is the E7440. This is a laptop with 14″screen, which is also 1366×768 or 1920×1080 pixels display, with a touchscreen as the option offered. The amount of ram is 4GB, and in addition to ssds, this model comes with hybrid hdd’s with a storage capacity of 350GB or 500GB. The weight of this laptop is 1.5 kilos and also this system gets ultrazuinige Core i3’s, Core i5’s and Core i7’s and removable batteries.

Both laptops hub optional modules for mobile internet and they can both deal with dell’s Wireless Dock, with support for WiGig. This wireless technology uses the 802.11 ac standard that, theoretically, a maximum data transfer rate of 7Gbps offers and a range of a meter or ten. Previously, only the Dell Latitude 6430u compatible with this docking station. The new Latitude E7x40 laptops should be available in the summer, appears from the roadmap photographs that the Hungarian Tech2 publish. Also the new Latitude E5440, E5540, E6440 and E6540 and the thin Latitude E3430 and E3530 get Haswell processors.
