Oracle has decided to promote the release of Java 8 by scrolling to 2014. The company is forced because the developers had to free up the vulnerabilities in the existing versions of Java to fix it.

Java 8 was originally in september come true. In this version you need to enable Java through the so-called Project Lambda extensions to modern multicore processors to make better use of. Mark Reinhold, chief architect of Oracle’s Java Platform Group, however, has on his blog to let us know that the release of Java 8 has been postponed to early 2014. This is also the planned release of Java 9 rescheduled for early 2016.

Oracle says this decision have been taken because a significant part of the development team is used to acute vulnerabilities in the existing versions of Java to fix it. Because of this there are temporarily not enough developers available to the original deadline of Java 8 to achieve. In addition, it tells Oracle that it does not want to cut in the trial period of Java 8, also the problem of new security holes in Java 6 and 7 to prevent. Also the dropping of Project Lambda would be undesirable, because the featurelijst very limited would be if this component is missing in Java 8.
