Microsoft has a patentdeal closed with Hon Hai, the parent company of Foxconn. The Chinese manufacturer has the licenses necessary for the making of products with Android or Chrome OS. It would be for Microsoft, the largest Android patentendeal until now.

According to Microsoft, includes the deal the use of patents for products that are on Android or Chrome OS to run. This may be with smartphones, tablets, and televisions. The deal gets Microsoft a fee for each Android or Chrome OS device from the Foxconn factories of Hon Hai. Although Microsoft no financial details neighbour, claims Ars Technica that Hon Hai’s biggest customer until now. Because Hon Hai with its Foxconn division mobile devices produces for many major manufacturers, it is plausible that Microsoft’s revenues from patentdeals they increase significantly.

Microsoft is already quite a time busy with the close of patentdeals with Android manufacturers. So have Samsung, LG and HTC a license on a patentenpakket of Microsoft, which the latter per sold Android device a fee. By the Android patentendeals was suspected that this Microsoft more revenue than sales of licences for its own Windows Phone operating system.
