Customers of ING complain on social media that they can’t log on to internet banking. Users get an http 403 error, which indicates that they have no permission to the page to visit. ING the malfunction is not confirmed yet.
It is the third major disturbance at ING, in a week’s time. Last week Wednesday were balance and transaction details of users are displayed incorrectly. Last Friday was banking hours, as well as iDeal. That fault, which continued through to Saturday, was due to a ddos attack. Monday night was online banking there again. ING was not reachable for comment.
Update, 11:53: ING says that the ‘signals’ that users can log in, but the bank dares here are still not entirely conclusive.
Update, 12:32: Now the jam is over, let ING spokesman Marc Smulders know. “The outage started around quarter to ten and has approximately one and a half hours long.” A quarter of an hour after the beginning of the fault, the service was back online, but that was of short duration. The interference would be caused by ‘improvement measures’ that ING has taken after the ddos attack last week. “One of those measures to the failure,” says Smulders. For the sake of safety, he wants to not go into details.
