Acer brings Android tablet with 7.9″screen for 169 euro

Acer has launched the Iconia A1 officially announced. The wi-fi version of the 7.9-inch tablet with ips screen and a resolution of 1024×768 pixels is 169 euro, and the 3g version is at 219 euro a bit more expensive. The tablet shares a few characteristics with the iPad Mini.

The Iconia A1 is the second cheap little Android tablet that Acer brings to the market. The difference with the B1 is that the A1 is slightly larger, a slightly higher resolution and a processor with more cores. The A1 has a 7.9″screen with ips panel and a resolution of 1024×768 pixels, where the B1 has a 7″screen with 1024×600 resolution. The processor is in the MT8389W, a Cortex A9 quadcore-soc of the Chinese manufacturer MediaTek, which is 1.2 GHz.

The screen diagonal and resolution correspond to the iPad mini, the 7.9-inch tablet from Apple. The thickness is 11.1 mm and the weight is 410 grams. Acer has 1GB of ddr3l ram on the tablet, and the manufacturer comes with versions with 8GB and 16GB storage amount. Expansion of the storage capacity through the existing slot for micro s-cards. In addition, micro-usb and micro-hdmi are present, as is support for gps, wi-fi n and bluetooth 4.0.

There is 3g and wi – fi versions of the A1 on the market. The 3g variant A1-811 welcome, 219 euro and the end of June come true. The A1-810 is the wi-fi variant and this is 169 euros cost as at the end of may comes on the market. The Android version where the tablets supplied is version 4.2 Jelly Bean.
