A third of found child pornography on Dutch servers

A large part of the child abuse that is reported, is on Dutch servers: up to a third. The majority of reported child pornography is located within Europe. That it appears from the figures of an umbrella organisation against child pornography.

From the figures of the umbrella organisation, Inhope, shows that 55 percent of the reported child pornography is hosted on European servers. Within Europe is 62 percent of the child pornography in the Netherlands hosted. Translated, this means that more than a third of all child pornography worldwide is found, on Dutch servers. Of the ten hosting providers where most child pornography is found, there are three located in the Netherlands and most of the reported child pornography, 42 percent, is at one unnamed Dutch provider.

The organization, where among others, the Dutch Meldpunt child Pornography is a part, obtained the figures through reports of child pornography, let spokeswoman Sarah Jane Mellor know. Besides the Netherlands, also in Russia, Vietnam and Kazakhstan, a lot of child pornography hosted. Inhope received last year more than one million reports of child pornography, which is by 150 analysts were processed. The umbrella organization consists of 43 hotlines around the world, including in all European union member states and the United States, where people with child pornography be able to report.
