Next Mass Effect and Dragon Age based on Frostbite 3

At the mouths of Aaryn Flynn, director of the studios in the Canadian Edmonton and Montreal, Electronic Arts announced that Frostbite 3, the engine used for Battlefield 4, even if surface will serve for the next Mass Effect game and Dragon Age 3: Inquisition

Flynn makes a tweet announced that version 3 of the Frostbite engine used for a new Mass Effect game and Dragon Age III: Inquisition. Both games will be under his leadership. The new Mass Effect is being developed by the BioWare studio in Montreal, while on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition being worked on by BioWare Edmonton. The existence of both games was already known, but it was assumed that both would be of Frostbite 2, the engine, which in 2011 was introduced with Battlefield 3.

That is also mentioned in a press release from september, in which Flynn himself says that Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be made with Frostbite 2. In november, EA are already more cautious. Then let Yanick Roy, head of the Montreal studio will only release that the new Mass Effect is made with Frostbite technology. He left it in the middle which edition of the engine taken in hand.

EA announced the existence of the new Frostbite 3 engine earlier this week, during the event where the Battlefield 4 has been officially announced. The performance of the new engine are visible in the videos that the publisher of Battlefield 4 has been released. Both Battlefield 4 and Dragon Age 3: Inquisition would be the end of this year on the market. When the new Mass Effect will appear, is not known.
