First version of Ubuntu for phones comes out on February 21 for the Nexus phones

Canonical has announced on February 21, with the so-called Touch Developer Preview of Ubuntu to come. The mobile version of the opensourcebesturingssysteem with the release support for the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 4.

On the 21st of February comes Canonical with the source code for the mobile version of Ubuntu, which has for some time been in development. It is yet to be a ontwikkelaarsversie that limited compatibility know. At the launch, only the Google devices Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 are supported. It promises to be Canonical, the software on the devices to flash developers who are willing to the Mobile World Congress, that will soon start.

Ubuntu for phones has been around for some time in development and the release of the ontwikkelaarsversie therefore does not come as a surprise: earlier Canonical already indicated that in February, users of the Galaxy Nexus, the new mobile OS to try out. Moreover in the future more smartphones will be supported, and from October there devices out of the box of the mobile version of Ubuntu.

Earlier this week came Canonical with guidelines for applicatieontwiklaars. These guidelines should ensure that apps in its interface and operation are consistent worn. A sdk for development of apps for the mobile version of Ubuntu is already longer.
