The company Defense Distributed wants to this year plastic guns using 3d printers to manufacture. The American company, that a number of 3d designs for weaponry on his website, wait, say that only on the necessary permits.

That leaves Cody Wilson, spokesman of the start-up Defense Distributed, to The Guardian. The company is planning to make functioning weapons to produce plastics on the basis of provided designs and 3d-printing technology. The start-up has, however, had to deal with numerous teething problems. First tried to Defense Distributed to raise money via the crowd-funding website Indiegogo, but due to the necessary commotion arose about the plans for the development of weapons, the call for tenders was removed from the site. When Defense Distributed then a 3d printer tried to hire after the Bitcoins had collected, and drew the underlying 3d-printer manufacturer October Stratasys back.

Defense Distributed says now business premises to have received from two unnamed Texan companies. Again, the start-up prototypes of the plastic weapons to go ahead and print and ballistic tests with it running. Also, would the firm have the necessary 3d printer in their hands. Defense Distributed says now we only have to wait on the required permits for the weapons to be allowed to produce. Wilson is expected within a few weeks to get the ATF.

The start-up has three separate businesses to register with the U.s. government because it is to say that legal wants to operate on. In addition, Defense Distributed submitted a request in the future also heavier weapons to be allowed to print, including machine guns. The company says, however, at the moment no money from investors more prepared to accept until the first plastic weapons, based on the proposed design, are produced and tested.
