Unlike re-falling film – and muziekverkopen on physical media, the sale of games in the third quarter, a slight increase show, reports research company GfK. Further stagnates the circulation of paid-for music downloads.

The turnover from music dvds fell by 36 percent, while the sales of music albums, 22 percent lower than the third quarter in 2011. Also the number of sold movies ran back. GfK reports also that the sales of paid music downloads, for example, via iTunes, is stagnating. Further details the company wants to not give. The decrease is presumably due to the rise of streaming muziekaanbieders, such as Spotify.
In addition, the market researcher that the popularity of smartphones increases further. In the third quarter of 2012 would be two-thirds of all handsets sold was a smartphone. Also, the trend of increased sales of unlock and prepaid continue, says GfK. In the third quarter was 29 percent of all handsets sold a prepaid model while 26 percent unlock.
