Medion provides new ‘Aldi-computer AMD quadcore and Windows 8 update

Medion has a new desktop system with Windows 8 for mainstreamgebruik announced. The computer is about a A8-5500-quad-core AMD and a Radeon HD7670. The system will only by Aldi to be sold and get a price of 499 euros.

The sale of the Medion Akoya P4215 starts at supermarket chain Aldi, on 26 October due to the release of Windows 8, which is installed by default. The system includes a A8-5500-apu of AMD, 3.2 GHz, and a maximum turbokloksnelheid of 3.7 GHz. Medion provides the computer of 4GB and the Radeon HD7670 with 1GB of gddr5 memory. The Akoya will get 1TB storage capacity.

On the frontpanel there is a multigeheugenkaartlezer, a usb 3.0 port, a usb 2.0 variant, an esata connector and audio interfaces. On the back include two usb 3.0 ports and digital s/pdif. In addition, support for wifi-n and gigabit ethernet. The Akoya P4215 also features a dvd burner. The company supplies the system including keyboard and mouse for an amount of 499 euros.
