The Samsung Galaxy S II will receive in november an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. That has the manufacturer published. The update to Android 4.1 is the second major update for the device, that sixteen months ago came out.

About updates for other devices, like the Galaxy Note, nothing is yet clear, though for months rumors that Samsung also device want to update. It is unclear whether Samsung with the update of the Galaxy S II still own features is going to add to the unit, such as parts of the Nature UX of the Galaxy S III. With the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that did not happen, or barely.

The update in november is the second major update for the successful device, that is, some tens of millions of times it is sold. The phone came with Android 2.3 and got this spring an update to Android 4.0. Many other phones will get only one update or even any newer version of Googles mobile operating system.

Android Jelly Bean, with versions 4.1 and higher, is the latest version of Googles mobile operating system. Compared to the previous version among other things, the interface is smoother and the search and information system Google Now included.
