From the vacancy page of Relic Entertainment reveals that the studio is looking for a senior designer, creative director and executive producer. The three should work on a free2play-game, it is evident from the job description. From the job description of the three does not seem to be what game they have to go to work.

The studio, which is owned by publisher THQ, is mainly known for the various games in the Warhammer 40,000 series, and the strategic Company of Heroes. It is currently working on Company of Heroes 2, which in 2013 should come on the market. Relic already has some experience with free playable games. It made Company of Heroes Online, a free playable version of the rts from 2006. The studio attracted in march 2011 the power plug from the online rts.

The step of Relic fits into a trend. Blizzards Dustin Browder dropped last weekend mentioned that the studio is considering for the multiplayer part of StarCraft II free to play, as a response to the popularity of free playable games like League of Legends and Dota 2.
