Apple sells 5 million iPhone 5 in first weekend

Apple has announced that its new iPhone 5 in the weekend after the introduction more than 5 million times sold. The new iPhone came out on Friday and sells a little faster than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S.

The number of sold 5 million devices in three days means a sales record; the previous record was achieved by the iPhone 4S, with a number of sales of 4 million units after the first weekend twice as fast as sold as the iPhone 4.
