Sandisk has the Sandisk ReadyCache ssd, a solid state drive released that should serve as support to the performance of a traditional hard drive to boost. The ssd works with its own software under Windows 7.

A caching ssd, which as an intermediate layer between the operating system and a hard drive is placed, it is a principle that was introduced for consumentensystemen with Intel’s Series 6 chipsets for Sandy Bridge processors. These so-called Smart Response Technology only works in combination with compatible motherboards, but Sandisks caching-ssd works on any pc with Windows 7. The ReadyCache comes with ExpressCache software, which has a similar function as the Intel SRT software.

The algorithm of the ExpressCache software, which is developed by company Condusiv Technologies, analyzes the use of the computer and writes frequently-used files on the 32GB large cache ssd. Thus, a system with a Sandisk ReadyCache ssd, boot faster and have applications boot faster than when only a hard disk is used. The cache ssd should be a cheaper upgrade for a system, then form a larger solid state drive where the operating system and software are installed. In America, the 32GB Sandisk ReadyCache available for sixty dollars.
