Isp Telenet has Thursday, new mobile subscriptions was proposed. Telenet does not longer subsidies on phones and gives their own customers for 15 euro 150 call minutes and 10,000 texts, together with 500MB of data.

Telenet does not have its own mobile network; it uses the Mobistar network. Perhaps the kabelaar a private network as the Base, driven by KPN. The new subscriptions are per 27 July to order. Existing customers automatically get the new plan, as they save on their bill. If they do not save, then they get 25% extra calling minutes and sms messages to compensate.

The subscriptions have names King and Kong, it appears on the website of Telenet. People who are not clients of Telenet with other services can also use the mobile subscription order, but will pay more. The subscriptions have no contract; a customer may have every month to cancel. Outside of the bundles to pay customers 15 cents per minute and 10 cents per sms or consumed MB. Users can also at Telenet only pay per usage, where they have the same rates of pay. Customers can make free use of the 1200 public hotspots from Telenet. Or ‘Homespots’, the wide modems of Telenet-customers, can going to be is unclear.

Test-Aaankoop, the Belgian equivalent of the Dutch Consumers ‘ association, shows himself satisfied with the new subscriptions, but make a note of it. “Telenet proves what we already have years of screaming: the gsm rates are in our country much too high”, says spokesman Ivo Michels against the Newspaper. “The Belgian pays its telephony for years, too expensive. I am curious to the reaction of Base, Proximus and Mobistar.”
